Pretty much everything we know has some sort of introduction, whether it’s the beginning of a movie, the start of a song, or a car’s honking horn pronouncing, “Hey, I’m here, watch out!” So here I am, trying to think of some sort of intro, making this more complicated than it should be, when all I have to do is just state why I’m here typing out words. I’m starting this blog for a few reasons. I’ve always loved stories and music. A hobby I thought was fun in high school, (and still think is fun today), was trying to argue with friends about why certain movies or books had good qualities to them, even if most of my friends would argue they were stupid. I recently watched an excellent video from CinemaWins, “Everything GREAT About Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi,” where the Youtuber simplified my own thoughts with the one phrase, “Liking things is more fun than not.” Between my love for stories and my love for arguing, (even if I lose my arguments more than half the time), I will for the most part go the route of CinemaWins and look for all the things I like about a story.
What will I be commenting on?
- Mainly books, (since CinemaWins covers movies).
- Short stories tied to songs, (I may pick songs with lyrics and write a short story you could read in the same amount of time it would take to listen to the song).
- My overall thoughts on the Star Wars movies, (since Episode 9 is coming out at the end of the year).
- Other form of entertainment readers might recommend, (if anyone reads this blog).
